Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Basic GW bindings for the delta-sensitive

 Poster: A snowHead

It seems to be a bit tricky to find delta info for current GW bindings. I know it varies with sole length, but some kind of comparison would be useful, as I am quite sensitive to it (I have 2mm shims under my Shift toes). I never really had a problem with the old alpine sole boots, but I've read that some bindings have more of an angle than others and I don't want to pick one of those accidentally.

I am looking for a fairly basic (read:cheap) GW binding that suits a smallish woman with a 5.5 DIN. Doesn't need to tour or land any tricks. Not too heavy or hard to step in. Needs to be as flat as possible when using a GW boot.

Shortlist includes:
• Look Pivot 12 €229
• Salomon/Atomic Strive 12 €129
• Marker Griffon 13 €169 (may be tricker to step in)
• Marker Squire 11 €129 (some reviews suggest it's a bit flimsy)

I've put the prices on so you can see how that might swing the decision.

I'm most interested in the first two, but will consider expanding the list if something else comes up (and it's available). The Pivot sounds like it is probably pretty flat, but the Strive is much newer and there isn't as much written about it.

If you are also sensitive to high delta bindings, which binding do you use? If you are not sensitive to it, you may not understand the problem.

I've got the Marker Squire 11s, which I love as they're so light, so help make my skis light to carry. They are relatively hard to step into I think. I'm afraid I can't answer about the delta issue, as I'm not aware of being sensitive to it.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I just got a set of Marker Xcomp 16 GW Master with plate and zero delta. may be pricey but a great binder and no cost for shimming.. super easy to step into . im not sure but lower DIN versions may be flat as well
