Hi everyone - wondering if anyone has been to any nice bars in Meribel recently that they can recommend? Something a bit more fancy than the seasonaire pub but not necessarily the 5* hotel bar... does this exist in Meribel?

can't say about Meribel, but just spent a very pleasent few evening of apres ski in a little bar in Mottaret - la bar 7-22.
good to ski into/out of - not good if you're in Meribel.

I went into a bar in Meribel once. I prepared my request in French, in my mind, as I walked up to the barman and said "Un Sérieux de Mutzig, s'il vous plait"
The bar was fairly empty, so he should have heard me clearly. So I was at little stunned that the barman then looked at me like I was speaking a foreign language.
Before I could re-attempt my request with an even better french accent, he said "You want a pint of Mutzig, do you mate?"
"Er, yeah. Thanks." I replied.

@weeh, +1 for barometer (though I am biased as it is owned by a friend) its right in the centre of town, and can access it from the slopes via the steps near the office du tourisme after skiing.
