Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Where did you find the old ski reactionary space on YouTube?

To be fiar he had some reasonable statements of the obvious then lost me at "with fat skis you only ski the top 20 inches" then facepalmed himself as if ski gods like hime slef don't get out of bed for less than 24 inches on their skinny skis.

@Dave of the Marmottes, Just happened across it and thought I'd share. It's not a view you hear very often on Fat Skis...probably because he is the only one that holds it. But it made me smile. Toofy Grin

Nah you see it all the time across ski forums and the ski instructor organisations particularly in the US where lots of instructors are retirees from a real job and therefore more inclined to a 2back in my day" viewpoint.

It's just an argument that was had and done 15-20 years ago and people agreed to differ. Anyone who is a zealot either way is a prick you probably want to avoid. Obviously skinny skis are better for early skills acquisition and racing, on the other hand there is a reason that lines are skied differently in today's ski porn compared to that of 30 years ago. Don't judge people for what they choose to use - feel free to laugh when they are floundering on slalom skis in deep pow pow or missing gates on double rockered aircraft carriers.
