Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Ski hire question again.

I'm sure this has been asked before but things change.
Going to the Dolomites with crystal towards the end of Feb and my son needs to hire some skis. Is it better for convenience to use the TO or better to be independent and book it on-line ourselves.?
Never quite sure we are getting the best equipment from the hire shops if they have been beaten down by Crystal....

Do Crystal have any offers regarding ski hire, atm?

How do their prices match online prices?

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

@FrequentFaller, We have rented through Crystal in Selva twice- it really depends which hotel you are staying in as to which ski hire place they use- one was really good (Olgas) and the other I wouldn't want to rent from again.

Been through other TOs last 2 years to other Italian resort and rented advanced skis- was not impressed as they would only give us racing skis- we wanted a good quality all mountain ski.

I think it just depends if your son is looking for a particular type of ski- if not fussy then usually more convenient to do via TO as usually get a voucher on the transfer. If want something specific I'd book specific ski online ahead of travel independently- don't know if that costs more.

(Just ordered a new pair of skis at the weekend because of the above! ).
