Poster: A snowHead
|
Hi,
Heading out to Mottaret to explore 3vs with group of friends for first week in feb.
Would like to keep to a bit of a tradition/habit ... is there or can any one recommend a place to get a good raclette ...that is take-a-way.
You know, Big tray of fromage, charcuterie, pommes de terres and of course the 'machine'.
Cheers

Don't think you will find a take-a-way like that in Mottaret - but recommend to visit
La Brizolee https://www.labrizolee.com/
You can get the food your are looking for there!
You need to book!

Depending on where you are staying, in large apartment blocks reception sometimes has the machines for loan or hire. We have done that a couple of times as an alternative to borrowing a machine from a deli supplying the cheese etc.

The traiteurs usually do the takeaway Raclette with machine loan. I’ve not used it but there is one in Mottaret (Farto).

The Sherpa in Val Thorens used to rent out the machines and sell you the ingredients, so might be worth trying Sherpa in Mottaret, if there is one? Good luck!
