Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Anybody got any suggestions for transfer from GVA to La Thuile....getting quotes of €500 at the moment

Go to La Rosiere and ski over the mountain with a big backpack. Any other way is going to be very expensive - I'd say 500 euros is a bargain!

@Leggylagrande, have a look at the Transfer Table sticky in the Resort Reviews forum (which I wrote). You could get a shared transfer for under 100 euros (return) to Courmayeur. I believe there's a public bus for the last few miles to La Thuile but you'd need to check. Otherwise a taxi.

Might be a bit more hassle, but certainly worth it if there's only one or two of you, at least.

Thanks for the speedy replies peeps.
Should have mentioned that we are a party of 3, wife & 9yr old daughter. We’ve also done La Thuile for the last 5yr but the two companies we’ve used previous only go as far as Courmayeur now

Aostaexpress/chamexpress transfer to courmayeur or to pre saint didier you could then get a local bus or taxi from there.
as @denfinella, says a taxi transfer all the way might be the better idea rather than bus then taxi.

Courmayeur to La Thuile only taxes around 25mins so can't be toooo expensive!

Hire a car. We've done it 3 times. Cheaper than transfer for a family of 4 and you can stop and do a good shop in sallanches on the way.
