Decathlon Wedez ski boots

Hi all, has any experienced intermediate skier purchased wedez ski boots from Decathlon ?

The quality of their other equipment appears to be quite good. I was very impressed with their skis. Suppose my only concern is the quality of the foam inner boot and the buckles. Aee they robust enough ?

If you search the forum for 'wedze boots' rather than 'wedez' you'll find several previous discussions to help you out.

I have to admit my main concern wouldn't be about the quality of the foam and buckles, more about making sure you end up with boots that fit you properly and will work well for your particular level of skiing and build. It's probably the number 1 mistake most skiers make (myself included) until they've learned from experience.

There's lot's of advice on choosing ski boots here on snowheads. It's definitely worth having a good read if you haven't already.

Big Decathlon shops do have some basic but helpful categorisation of boots - in terms of level of skier, width of foot etc. I have wide feet and my current boots are cheap "off the shelf" in Decathlon Albertville, with my previous custom insoles added. They are blissfully comfortable. Probably don't give me the maximum degree of control but at my level of skiing that's not what I need. They have been much better than some "professionally fitted" efforts, including boots from Au Vieux Campeur in Albertville which I had to sell after an unsuccessful week in them. They are not Wedze though. I think once you have some experience of ski boots it isn't necessarily a massive mistake to sit in a shop and take your own time about trying on a load of boots. Absolutely not a purchase to be made online, however!

@kezzy19661, i don't know if you're after a men's or women's boot, but I was killing time in Decathlon last night looking at ski equipment and every men's boot was a wide fitting.

As above, correct fit should be more of a concern than brand.
