Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Concussion - not a helmet thread

Poster: A snowHead
Again, this is NOT a helmet thread.

My kids have been playing rugby for about 3 years now and their club recently hosted a night for parents and coaches about recognising and handling head injury and, specifically concussion.

The RFU has been having a bit of a push on head injuries of late and have posted some useful resources on their website on the subject. Obviously they have a bit of a rugby lean on them but the fundamental issues are the same. So, as our new season approaches, I thought I'd share here.

There's not reams of it, the parents guide is a good quick primer but there is more there of you want to deep dive. The pocket guide is a useful print and put into any first aid kit too.

Link is here or Google RFU HEADCASE...

This was a public service announcement, normal nonsense will now resume...

 Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person
Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person
I recently got updated on this. In summary:
Don't get concussed again for 3-6 months
Don't drink alcohol for a week.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

... And if you've only got 7m33s to spare, then this is the quick (if a bit cheesy) video
