Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Suggestion for skii schools for begginers in Kirshberg/Kitzbuhel

Hi All,

I am going to Austria for skiing between 23rd -30th December with my six years old daughter, however still I haven't decided the place.

We both are completely stranger to skiing. Today I called up the Skischule Kirchberg for rate. Seems they are cheaper than Kitzbuhel schools i.e. element 3. They quoted me 265 Euro each for six days, excluding equipement hire. Also I don't require to advance booking. I looked on google map and realised there are not many skiing routes around the town. Do the nursery slopes appear on the map?

Also anyone can suggest :

Any reason they are cheap? Any issues with location or quality of instructors? What do I have look for while booking lessons for beginners?

I am looking into other options i.e. Kuhtal, Aplenbach, Soll, but can't decide. There are plenty of choices. Sad

Thanks...

Decided against St Anton?

Kirchberg is a less expensive spot than Kitzbühel so guess that would apply to the ski school too. I cant say I have noticed any nursery slopes at Kirchberg, though I normally ski down to the car park at the Fleckalmbahn rather than to the village itself. I am sure there must be a nursery area, all the various Kitzbühler Alpen resorts are well known as good places to learn. I might be inclined to suggest that Skiwelt (Söll, Scheffau, Brixen & Westendorf) would be slightly better for beginners, there are lots of gentle slopes and all the villages have nursery slopes but the difference with Kitzbühel / Kirchberg is small. Söll has a long tradition of welcoming British folk wanting to learn to ski so is likely to be as good a choice as anywhere

Kirchberh has a nursery slope in the town with a tow BUT there is a lift pass charge whereas Kitzbuhel has some free nursery lifts
