Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Crampon for Hoji pro

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Anyone know if the Grivel air tech light numatic is compatible with the Hoji pro boot?

https://www.sport-conrad.com/en/products/grivel/air-tech-light-new-matic.html?listtype=search&searchparam=crampons

Or any other suggestions? I’m looking for something light that could also use with a B2 boot for winter walking / Munros.

I've not got Hoji boots but I did come across a mention of them the other day that might be useful - Mountain Guide Graham Frost seems to think that they're the holy grail of boots! And that Petzl crampons fit perfectly. https://www.frostguiding.co.uk/blog/712

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Any C2 crampon should fit those boots. If you are using them for winter walking the material of the points is important. For example you would probablt not want alu as it blunts very quickly on rock. I am not sure what the light alloy of these are.

Thanks both.

Agree whilst any C2 ‘should’ fit I’ve seen some reviews suggesting that some don’t given the slightly odd shape of the the front of the Hoji.

Tried some Grivel Newmatic style bindings on a Hoji at work when they first came in and would not recommend the fit.

The Petzl basket front bale fitted much better and comes as standard with the Irvis, Vasak and Sarken crampons.

Ok thanks. Don’t suppose you tried the Black Diamond Neve?
