Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Does anyone know if the proposed lift back across to Zell am See from Saalbach is still going ahead in time for next season?
Thanks snowHead

You mean the bottom section being added to the Zell Am See Express lift, down to Viehhofen?
According to this list, yes

Also some serious investment going on in Kaprun. (Sorry the article is in German)

It was supposed to be happening this summer, but both the Saalbach and Zell am See websites are being surprisingly tight-lipped about it - not a mention. This tends to confirm the rumours that I heard last winter that the construction of the gondola might be delayed for a year to enable the contruction of a new reservoir and installation of snow cannons on piste 68, which will become the primary route for skiers wanting to travel from Saalbach and Leogang over to Zell. I'll be there during the mid-summer so will be able to make enquiries and see for myself. Having said all that, it does seem strange that neither of the websites even mentions it. There's been a lot of preparatory work going on in Viehhofen - diversion of the road and preparation of a new car park and site of the new lift station, and a big sign announcing the project.

@Tubaski, The Zell lift is marked as approved but uncertain for this coming summer whereas the upgrade of the Kohlmais lifts at SH are marked as under construction.
There is also a link to a camera at the proposed middle station so you can see the construction progress but that does not yet seem to be operational see http://viehhofen-mittelstation.live-panorama.com/
