Is there any way to re-cycle old boots? Searching the forum yields several references, but all are out-of-date (either the site linked to has gone away, or they are not accepting any more downhill boots. etc.).
If not, I guess they go into landfiill as the local authority will not recycle them.

Charity shop, there seems to be pairs in my local for £10 almost all the time, somebody must be buying them, or charity shops if there are decent might list them on ebay. Better than landfill, or check freecycle.

+1. Freecycle (or Freegle) should be a good bet. I give away masses of stuff - recently a fridge, built in oven and dishwasher and a few years ago a small yacht!
