I'm off to ride some Japow this winter and using it as an excuse to get some bibs.
I've been looking at a few options but it's tough to find reviews of the 17/18 models so if anyone can shed any light or have any experiences I would love to hear them! Even if it's just experience with the brand, because a couple of these are new this season I think.
- I want an "everyday pant". One that I can use in the backcountry, but is equally good in resort and can deal with cold/wet/dry/warm conditions. All of these are shells, so warmth isn't a problem, I'll layer accordingly.
- Availability in Europe isn't a problem - I'll be heading to the US in december and pick them up then.
Any other bibs people would suggest?
Cheers!

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I was tempted by the powslayer, but that's another £100 and I can't work out if it's worth it. I've also heard of some durability issues with Patagonia stuff.
For the planks yeti, do they have the movement for boarding? Shouldn't make much difference between skiing and boarding I guess.
Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

I’ve never had durability issues with Patagonia stuff, and I have a lot of it, and use it heavily. But it certainly isn’t as low-priced as some of the competition: they’re not competing on price.

@eekaleek, Patagonia's warranty is about the best in the biz, so I wouldn't worry about durability.
What jacket do you have btw?
Doesn't answer you're question, but personally I'm really not a fan of bibs. Too warm/add an irremovable layer in your layering system, and a pain in the bar/restaurant/toilet where you either have to keep them over the shoulders (too hot) or have them dangling around.
A bunch of manufacturers have systems where you can zip the jacket and pants together. This is how it works for my Norrona Tamok jacket/pants (0:46): http://youtube.com/v/TYLkPMkVeqA?t=46
But I've used it *once*, as even in the deepest Japow I've never felt the need for anything more than a standard powder skirt.

Norrona Lofoten as well have a detachable bib. Also, if you have a Lofoten Jacket it zips together to give you a onesie.
