Salomon Falcon Race are for 'Thatcherites' according to January 'Ski and Board' magazine.
I did not think Thatcher would approve of red boots myself.
There is a review of snowboards in the magazine as well, though it looks as if it could have been copied straight off the manufacturer's promotional literature. No grading or marks out of ten are given.
An interesting letter about US immigration and an article about Valle Blanche.
Using a kite to go uphill on skis in Pakistan looks interesting too
Still no 'Todays Golfer'-style crib sheet of the top ten bits of kit and clothing in the back either. They are missing a trick there, in my view.

Latchigo, care to expand? A political critique of various brands of ski boots sounds interesting.

richmond, I think it is just journo waffle.
Quote:-
'This is a boot for Thatcherites - the Brown camp would never let you get away with such design without a stealth tax!'
Maybe the author dreams of one day writing editorials for The Daily Telegraph ?

SMALLZOOKEEPER, I have just googled that and there is a Wikipedia item on her with accompanying photo. She certainly looks a bit brassy. Not at all wholesome like Keeley from Bromley. Not that Keeley is a porn star - just a simple Page3 girl.
I would stick to fish analagies :-
'A rock salmon' among ski boots.
'Plaice' suitable for people with flat feet.
'Haddock' popular with Scots and Northerners etc. etc.

Latchigo, as long as you take the SKIN OFF. Bl**dy fried fish with skin on makes a mockery of the whole fish supper industry.
P.S. Now I think of it, if you enter the SZK's sanctum sanctorum seeking enlightenment and ski boots with foot beds, would you be looking for a fish supper?
P.P.S. SZK I doubt very much that I will pass in your shop this weekend, much though I want to, as I have to go to Metro too often buying plates and other essentials. If I can I will...

David Murdoch, I like the skin on (most) fish. Not on rock, obviously, but then I don't like rock much.

David Murdoch, As a purveyor of fried fish n chips, fish with skin on is the way to go. Eat the fish, leave the skin with half the batter and with chips it almost becomes healthy
I am shamelessly promoting fish n chips

Good for you !
Fryer's Delight in Holborn and Sea Shell in Lisson Grove are the best London chippies.
Around South West London, the Superfish chain is excellent.
