Must say I'm pleasantly surprised how low the snow level is today in this corner of Italy. Even Marilleva at 810 metres has had a big fall overnight!

Madonna di Campiglio is now open daily for skiing, but not Pinzolo or Folgarida-Marilleva yet. From tomorrow the 5 Laghi and Pradalago sectors open for the first time this season, in addition to the Groste sector which was already open. Most (though not all) pistes in all three sectors are scheduled to be open.

@gwatts10, we had great snow the first week of April last year. Only problem was they gradually closed the lifts throughout the week, so that by the end of the week only the Groste sector was open.
Had a great week though - deep powder (on piste), fantastic food in the mountain huts and very friendly people.

The whole area is now open including all the links between resorts. Pretty much all pistes open too, with the main exception being the lowest runs in Pinzolo.
Not bad for early December!

I skied in Folgarida yesterday. It was mixed weather, quite warm. Started rain/drizzle at the ski school area and then progressed to mist and snow higher up.
Whilst the pistes were a bit heavy the snow was in good condition, pistes well covered, no bare patches. Plenty of snow off the sides of piste but not worth trying this time. Red 32 was a dream down towards Daolasa. Unfortunately it was only a few hours piste for me.
