looking for a trip for me and my sister. we can share if need be. both want lessons and ski hire.
Any suggestions as to where to go. needs to be cheapish. cheers

I'd say, you could do a lot worse than go to Soldeu in Andorra. The one downside of going there, is snow reliability. I hear we're in for lots of snow in the UK this winter; whether that extends down to Andorra, I'm not sure. Going a bit later in the season, is better too.
I love Soldeu itself. Great places to eat, many good bars, live music lots of places. Skiing is fine for a beginners and intermediate. I've been about 5 times. You could book a package, but then you could book an apartment, book your own flights to Barcelona, and hire a car to get there. That's exactly what I've always done. Should get flights, car hire, apartment, ski pass, skis and boots for around £500.

For that week I'd wait for a late deal. First week after the new year always has a lot of availability and you get to choose where the best snow is.

@kennypk, cheapish inc lessons and ski hire, look at UCPA (UK agent is Action Outdoors). All inclusive, but more like a hostel type environment.
