Intrigued with this place in Austria. Wonder anybody been?
Looking for uncrowded resort with good snow record.

Yes I went there a few years ago. Wonderful scenery for sure, nice compact village but not much going on, uncrowded because it is a bit off the beaten track, nice amount of vertical and snow was nice top to bottom - certainly high enough to be considered snow sure. There was a reasonable mount of off piste too. It means 'Holy Blood' you know. Having done it, not sure I'd rush back, think I'd combine with a bit of a Carinthian road trip taking in the very snow sure Molltal Glacier and the Ankogel.

@Mike Pow, Wasn't when I went, town was full of tourists, souvenir shops etc, I'd think the skiing is pretty steep and would be decently priced but it is seen as a fairly unknown chic place for the well healed to ski and be seen so who knows?! Looks great on the photos maybe time for a reccy.

@Mike Pow, One thing (positive) - its not seen as a huge mileage/ loads of lifts place, and as such isn't an Ischgl/ St Anton/ Kitzbuhel type resort, loads of people are just looking for km's of piste and putting a tick in a box ime - I'm also looking at investigating Vorarlberg places like Damuls etc, great snow records and probably not as sorted regards infrastructure but my experience with that eg Warth/ Schroeken hasn't done me too much harm in the past so i'm looking to find these lesser frequented places away from the masses as a longer term strategy. Initially when we used to stay in Warth and then the link opened to Lech was what are these posh folk doing coming interrupting our skiing, however its now OK because they only do 1 or 2 runs so they can say they've "done it" and then disappear back over.....we went to Warth on the basis that we could dip over into Lech and tbph hardly ever do, we tend to eat the pow in Warth/ Schroeken and put up with the older infrastructure to access better (?) definitely less frequented pow!

Always on the look out for little resorts with good snow and little crowd.
Warth/Damuels used to be my regular until getting discovered/crowded.
Went to Bonneval last March, pretty good on a powder day.

@Pruman, Blimey, thanks....I knew that Heiligenblut meant Holy Blood but hadn't known the significance regards healing.....probably should have googled it!

actually, was referring to the mis-spelling of "well-heeled". Never knew the story of Briccius. Clearly there were limits to the healing power of the HB.

Better stay away from Heiligenblut. I had bad experiences there. When I came back to my car from climbing in that area, someone attacked me. First he let the dog on me. When I wanted to escape, he did not let me go. He was standing in front of my car when I wanted to drive away. Then he opened the door and tried to pull me out. I almost managed to escape from him. It was a terrible experience. God knows what he wanted to do to me!
You are better, going somewhere else. There are many other beautiful places in Austria and elsewhere, where people are more friendly to tourists.
