Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

What is Rosiere like in terms of snow conditions in mid April (week beginning 14th). Obviously looking at webcams for this year looks pretty good but we have had record snowfalls.

@NickyJ, La Thuile would be a better bet to stop as la Rosiere is south facing and can get rather slushy

I would expect the runs above the village to still have enough snow but it would be sunny and slushy due to them being south facing. The lowest runs below village height such as fontaine froide would probably be shut. The new runs that are being added for next season will be high and I'd guess would still be open. As mentioned above you would probably want to spend time on the north facing la thuile side assuming it is still open mid April. (definitely check the dates it will be open).

If I were going skiing that week I would probably pick Les Arcs or Flaine over la Rosiere. However if you are looking for quiet slopes and don't mind the slush la rosiere would probably be ok.

@NickyJ, I think you'll find freeze thaw at best, with definite slush fest after late morning, it's not a resort I'd go to at that time of the season.
