As an antidote to the torrent of misery in the other thread, there must be a few good ones out there, surely?
My nomination goes to Jackson Hole. Less than 10 minutes drive to the resort and abundant car parking within strolling distance of the terminal building. Loads of space inside and beautiful artwork on the walls. No queues anywhere and no delays for baggage. Friendly staff everywhere. No long walks and travelators to nowhere. Panoramic views from the departure lounge. Only downside is no direct flights to the UK.

Same response as on the other thread: Salzburg, with the caveat that it's not on a Saturday during the ski season.
It's small and friendly. You park right outside. You can arrive 30 minutes before your flight. It's 45 minutes' drive to some of the best ski areas. It rarely gets affected by adverse weather despite the proximity of the mountains.

Some airports are better than others. But I'll take any that will get me to the mountain.
I've had bad luck with Aspen airport. And given it's only a 3 hr drive from Denver, I have been flying to Denver instead. But I don't hate it. When the condition is right (similar price, good flight time), I'd fly there again.
Salt Lake City is real nice. Small enough to get in and out of. Close to the mountain.
I've flown into and out of Zurich and Geneva multiple times. They both worked quite well. With train station right across the street, it's most efficient in getting straight to the mountain. I've managed to ski the same day I landed. What more can one ask for? Given the chance, I will use them without hesitation.

Jet 2 at Edinburgh, utter dream to use. They knew what they were doing, had a separate conveyor for their customers and skis and bags all went on the same one. From our flat in the city to parking at the terminal then sitting having breakfast having gone through security, 45 mins.

As mentioned in the other thread, definately Zurich. I love Swiss efficiency, good watch window shopping in departures, never had any sort of queue for security, train station in the airport and never wait long for bags to be delivered.
Loads of choice of flights near me as well. Only moan is that prices of anything are terrible.
In the UK, London City gets my vote.

Gatwick. 30 mins on the choo choo from my front door. Sh*t load of flights to everywhere. Train station right next to the airport. If flying from the south terminal e.g. BA then check in desks are adjacent to the station. Invariably it's busy but the new owners have done a great job of improving the capacity of security. Again in the South Terminal, it's possible to bypass the duty free walk through by following the signs to the lounges instead (thank you @GlasgowCyclops for that tip). Free newspapers.

As an American, I can't say I like any of the Canadian airports. Never mind "love".
Because be design, we have to check immigration and custom BEFORE boarding the plane. That means I had to be at the airport extra early if I don't want to miss my flight.

I thought Venice Marco Polo worked well plus they have impressive pictures and artwork around. Even the luggage conveyor belt is adorned.

Inbound (arrivals) - City and Southend for speed and no passport queues.
Outbound (departures) - the problem is that the airports I (and I think all of us) really love are the small ones that are quick and easy to get through like Southend (which, unusually for a small airport, also has a decent premium lounge). However, if anything goes wrong, with 1 or 2 flights a day, you're totally stuffed. In contrast, I've never failed to get out of GVA or LHR, whereas I've had multiple failures at smaller airports. Thus whilst I don't love either, they are the most practical airports if I absolutely want to get there.

@albob, Couldn't agree more - but for me it was when Doncaster Sheffield Robin Hood and Maid Marion International was RAF Finningley - no queues for security then - just a walk across the pan to the allocated aircraft!

Another vote for Zurich and its railway station in the basement. On so many occasions my skis and bag have been waiting for me as I clear immigration. Down two escalators and straight on a train for the mountains!

London Gatwick. If flying early morning and with Geezer jet, one can stay at the Hampton by Hilton, check your baggage in the night before and walk straight through to departures in the morning. If not Gatwick, then London City.

Sapporo Chitose! Super efficient, good transport links. It takes a really heavy blizzard to close the airport. Great food and shopping. An on site onsen. Free parking nearby.

The new International terminal at Calgary is pretty good. Because they have a separate terminal for domestic and US flights this one is pretty quiet. Minimal queues, lots of places to sit and eat and kids play areas to tire them out before the long flight!

Southend - it's like a railway station and you park 50 yds or less from the terminal entrance. Security's a breeze and everything's small & friendly.

London City. Swift, DLR right on site. Pre flight area a bit cramped though if you are there early.
Vancouver is awful IMV - do they still have that stupid tourist tax they impose of you to fund the waterfalls and totem pole stuff.
As the US goes - Reno is pretty good and Oakland at a push qualifies as a ski airport. MUCH more convenient for the sneaky way to Tahoe than SFO.
Aspen probably the ultimate - Buttermilk is literally next door but flights subject to mountain weather of course.

Not quite true in winter though - the back road to Teton village isn't open then so you have to go into Jackson town and out again. Location is awesome though - smack on the edge of the NP looking straight at the Tetons

Gatwick is my 'local' too and generally very efficient these days and you can fly almost anywhere.
