Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Lifetime of a helmet

Helmets become your best friends.
No-one cares what they look like as long as they are comfortable to wear ( and keep you warm/cool).

However should my Better Half and I change ours? Over 10 years old -- not used as much as most on here, but changing them will seem like the loss of good friends.

@Agenterre, I'm wondering the same. Bought after the manchild's accident and I'm still wearing it. I think as the straps are starting to fray, I probably should.

@Agenterre, Laughing Laughing . Not sure they'd cope with a collision. Several have probably already been fractured.

I know -- but my helmet's passing would be like skiing without your best mate! Been with me everywhere --- It isn't about cost. My wife could get a better newer version than me too .... thankfully she enjoys the comfort of the current old model.

PML --- maybe little point in protecting the cranial contents ... but keeps me warm when pretending to have been skiing all day. Even if the reality is took a look at the weather and said ... Tomorrow will be better.

Stop being sentimental.
If your helmet is old & maybe compromised with lots of knocks, then is it worth the risk?
Get a visor one & ditch the goggles as well snowHead Toofy Grin
