Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Choice of kindergarten in Les Arc 1800?

My sister will be in Les Arc 1800 in March with her two-year old daughter. Last year she used the main kindergarten in the resort which was perfectly good, but few of the staff spoke English. This wasn't a problem last year as her baby didn't care that she wasn't spoken to in English. This time it might be an issue so I was wondering if there is another kindergarten, perhaps run by a British tour operator, that she could use. Anyone have any experience of kindergarten in Les Arc 1800?

Rob. There's a very long-established creche at Arc 1600, based in the Hotel Cachette, so that would be an option if she doesn't mind bussing it down there in the morning. Plenty of Brits stay in that hotel, which is excellent, BTW, and has large family rooms with balconies.

rob@rar.org.uk, I can definitely recommend the creche at the Hotel Cachette, we stayed there in 2003 and used the creche for our (then) 1 yr old and it was superb. One of best things is that it's right at the the foot of the slopes so you can easily get back for a family lunch. The staff are (or were) all French but spoke reasonable English.

Sorry, don't know of anywhere in 1800, but I think the bus only takes a few minutes.

We've just booked our daughter in to the nursery in Les Lauziers (or something like that!) in Arc 1800. Does anyone have any experience of it?

m00958, my sister used the Les Lauzières kindergarten for her one-year old daughter last February. She seemed happy with the way it worked and has booked it again for this season.
