Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Does anyone know which bars in Chatel are likely to be showing the Rugby on Saturday (10th Feb)? I don't know the place that well so I'm hoping for some pointers Happy

I confirm the Avalanche is the go to bar for rugby in Chatel. With a 17.45 kick off (16.45 at Twickenham) it will be rammed. Best to get there early (though then you will hit the Ireland v Italy crowd and drink more than is entirely wise).

We had one memorable experience for a France v England game there when the bar was occupied about 65% by England fans, 25% French and 10% assorted others. Sarkozy was attending the match in Paris and the first time the camera zoomed on to him there was an enormous chorus of booing from around the bar. In fact it was just the French giving voice!
