Poster: A snowHead
|
We are a family group of 10 staying in a chalet in Belle Plagne last week of March. Its our first trip to La Plagne and wonder if anyone has a suggestion on where to eat one evening inexpensively eg Pizza Express price range and do we need to book. Any help appreciated.

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

I assume that this is on your chalet hosts' night off.
If so, I expect that they'll be able to recommend and book somewhere for you.
Don't forget that, due to the bubble, Bellecote is in play as well

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Thanks for that, I guess you are right but I was hoping someone might have some recent experience of a nice place to eat in the evening on as you have guessed the chalet hosts night off.

There's a little place under Residence Andromede at the top of the village - if you're in the Les Balcons chalets then this would be ideal as close by.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

We went to La Godille in Jan. Was very nice but quite small, so booking if you fancy it book early as you won't get in. Very friendly and helpful staff. I think they have a pizza restaurant associated with the restaurant, but the name escapes me.

We always use to take the gondola down to Bellecote for a fondue.

La Godille is our favourite but you will struggle for much under €30 a head. The little place up near Andromede is a pizza place but does other things as well. Vegetarians well catered for. You could do pizzas etc for your budget there. They also do pizza takeaway if you wanted to save even more money and make salads and drinks back at the chalet.
As others have said, book ASAP if you're doing restaurants as they fill up very quick. Some, including La Godille have two sittings - 7:00pm or 9:00pm.

If you want something cheaper, pizza is good at Cheyenne. Cost about 12euros per pizza.

Thanks to all for the helpful advice and I will book either the Andromeda or La Godille once I know which evening is the 'night off'
