Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

A snowHead
Hi
I need to buy a new helmet and have been looking at multiple options including the Smith Code and Giro Zone (very different helmets it must be said).
Does anyone have any views, advice re the Smith Code. I am mainly concerned with the ventilation and airflow.
Thanks in advance

Have you tried them on? You must start with the one that is most comfortable on your head. I like the internal airflow venting on the Smith but not sure how well it would work in the real world. For my head the Sweetprotect Blaster was such a perfect fit, I just couldn't justify the £150 price tag.
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

@Dof
, go to a shop and try them on then buy the most suitable in the shop. Don't try on then go online.

Recommend you try them on. Ordered online only to find that Smith sizing in Vantage was tiny compared to my old Giro helmet. Off to the shop this evening to try AND buy in store.
Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Really got to try them on IMO, bought teens new helmets last night and they tried on 5 / 6 each ... retried them a few times before settling on what was most comfortable and snug, plus looked good. Good luck.
