Hi all, looking for some advice on the Innsbruck free ski bus. I'm looking at staying in Innsbruck city centre, and taking the ski bus to the surrounding resorts for skiing, on a daily basis.
The official free ski bus timetable is here:

But to be honest, I can't make heads or tails of it.
Does the ski bus stop at each of the hotel stops listed, then onward to the ski resort? Or does each hotel have its own hotel shuttle that takes you to a central point where you board the ski bus?
So for example, the first column - PATSCHERKOFEL. The time listed next to each of the three stops Hotel Congress, Hotel Hilton, Grand Hotel Europa are all listed at 8.50am, so I'm assuming these are three different buses, one for each hotel right? Then they drop everyone off at the Ski Bus Terminal at Hofgarten at 9am? And is that where the bus to Patscherkofel (and the other resorts) depart from? And it departs at 9am - ie there's only one bus to each resort per day (2 to Muttereralm and Axamer Lizum)?
And then when does it actually arrive at Patscherkofel? There's no time of arrival for any of the buses listed on the timetable?
And also there's only one bus coming back at 4.30pm? Everyone on the mountain jumps onto this one bus heading back for Innsbruck city centre??
I'm completely flummoxed. I would be most grateful if anyone who's stayed and taken the ski bus from Innsbruck to the surrounding ski resorts could explain the bus to me better. Cheers!

Thanks clarky999 for the public bus timetable.
It doesn't quite answer my question about the ski bus, but it's still useful information, as now I know how to take the public bus if I miss the ski bus. Also it gives an indication of how long the journey from central Innsbruck to the ski lift is (22 mins for Patscherkofel)
I'll look at the other public bus timetables for times to the other ski lifts (Axamer Lizum, Schlick 2000, etc)

Yes.

No.

No. Its just that the hotels are so close that it lists the same time.

Depends, if you wanna go to the destination of a given bus, stay on it. If not, get off at Hofgartenand find the bus you want.

Having done a few seasons in Innsbruck I have to say the ski buses were not the pinacle of Austrian efficiency. Try to get to Hofgarten early enough and you should be ok and as Clarky says you have the J which shuttles between Patsch and Hungerburg (for Nordkette) as a backup.

@bum, no worries - sorry I've never actually used the official ski bus so can't help there! The J bus goes right through the city and is easy to pick up though, and there are busses to Stubai and Axamer Lizum from the hauptbahnhof too.

@bum, I think you will find that the times above the red line are the times that a shuttle bus leaves the location/hotel in the left column if you want to go to the ski area across the top. The shuttle bus takes you to the coach park at the Hofgarten. The times in the red line are the times that the coach leaves the Hopfgarten.
E.g. a shuttle bus leaves the Hilton Hotel at 8.50 and 10.50 to the coach park at Hofgarten for the 09.00 or 11.00 coach to Axamer Lizum. Coaches (pleural) leave Axamer at 1.30 and 4.30.
The grey line tells you the public transport you can also take to the ski destinations.
