When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Val Thorens Top Ski Hire

Hello Snowheads,

Can someone kind help and advise me on the best places in Val Thorens to hire skis from - a few years ago we hired from somewhere (remaining nameless for the purposes of this thread) and we got rubbish skis and were over charged. It's always a bit of an unknown renting from places in Val Thorens and I'm not so knowledgable to be able to tell if we are being given low quality equipment.

Any ideas?

Last year I rented from Intersport VTS, pricewise, they seemed on par with the other VT rental and I received virtually set of Rossignol Experience 88's (judging by the base and top sheets), despite skiing late in the season.

Who did you end up using littlemiss ?
We stay in Hotel Tango and would be looking for a hire shop either close to the hotel of a hire shop with a storage facility close to the lift.
