Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Ski School in Ellmau

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Can anyone recommend a ski school in Ellmau and advise on the location of the meeting point? Does everyone gather at the top of the Hartkaiser lift?

I have some friends staying in Scheffau and some with me in Ellmau and getting the 2 boys together for their lessons is the challenge.

It's a fathers and sons trip and 2 of the teenage boys need lessons. (14 years old)

Thanks
Simon

Also, does anyone know whether the ski bus runs between scheffau and ellmau or does each village just have a circular bus route?

Thanks

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

@TopGooner, re buses - both. There is a ski bus that runs between all the villages, and I know that Ellmau has its own bus. I didn't use ski school in Ellmau, but lots of ski school groups seemed to meet at the bottom of the Hartkaiser and get the lift up together.

Is it the normal Postbus which goes from village to village? And does anyone know whether this stops at the Hartkaiser lift?

Depends on the children's ability, but assuming they can already ski a bit then the meeting point will most likely be at the Hartkaiser. If they can't the different ski schools have separate nursery slopes.

Three ski schools, Ellmauer, Top Ellmau and Hartkaiser. We used the Hartkaiser one and Jnr enjoyed his lessons, but this was about 10 years ago!

Hartkaiser lift is the terminus for around 5 of the bus routes as I recall. Not sure about from Scheffau though.

We used the Hartkaiser school in March. No problems and had fun!

Used the ski school in Ellmau a couple of years ag. Our first two days we met at the nursery slopes in Ellmau. On day two we skied over from Ellmau to Going and then skied over to the Hartkaiser. Day 3 and onward we were instructed to meet at the Bottom of the Hartkaiser. The run over from Going is a nice run once you get over the run from Ellmau. That is a bit flat but a nice gentle warm up in the morning.
