Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Has anyone info or suggestions for small ski areas in Switzerland?
I'm thinking of places like Stoos, Flumserberg and other places within easy striking distance from Zurich for my offspring.
Or any suggestions along that theme.

regional season passes are generally available at kanton level
Some resorts are linked.
IMO you should really think about it if a season pass is the right choice,
Snow is quite variable from week to week depending on which way the wind is blowing.
If they are in Zurich for long then I guess they will try all of them, if they live in zurich then get them to msg me , there are several smaller local forums where expats discuss the ski conditions and arrangements for weekends.
Pizol ,
Hasliberg (well worth it)
Grusch (tree skiing)
Tshiertchen (tree sking)
Brigels
Obersaxen
Hoch y brig (weekdays)
Flums (weekdays)
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Hi
NixMap
,
They are going to be here for the long haul now. I've just driven down here to Zurich with a van full of their tut.
They are busy unpacking the stuff as I type here, finding all the important stuff like skis, boots poles etc. which having been clogging up the cellar in Singapore for the last three years.
I'll have to get them to join the forum and get in touch as suggested.
Thanks for your info.
We've been wandering around Zurich all day and I'm just worn out now
