So some general stuff; what are the slopes like, how accessible are they, how much sailing did you get in, was it as much fun as it looks, how were the transfers (boat to slope)....?
If anybody (or has contacts) who works, has worked or has local knowledge of the area this sort of thing goes on I'd be really interested to hear from you.

Our guide in Val Thorens UCPA in Jan 2016 works on some of these trips - he was complaining that his favourite goggles had been wrecked by the salt! I think i have his card somewhere, I'll try and dig it out.
@moseyp, yes I sail - 30/40 ft yachts mostly, prefer warmer places than the UK. Sailing 32ft Moody in a regatta at Grimsby this weekend, not quite Cowes but jolly good fun. Sailed tall ships too.

Used to sail off the western coast of Greece most summers, but my winch wench isn't up to it any more so our summer holidays are now land based.

I live on board a 44 ft cutter in the Eastern Caribbean. I pick my days so most of my sailing is beam reaching in the trades at 7 -10 knots. Life is good.
No skiing in the Eastern Caribbean so once a year I make the airborne trek [ 3 flights ] to Sal Lake City and spend 3 weeks working on my white stuff jones. Mostly Alta Canyons and Snowbasin. Life is good.
I tried to load some pics but lost the will to live while working out how do that.

From what I have heard the boats motor most of the time, not sure how often the sails go up if ever. The boat is your floating moving cabin. I have skied the area it is fabulous going back for my 5th time this yr. We are land based and drive to the different peaks.

We go with a great Swedish guide and it's over £1000 cheaper.
Iceland, Greenland and further North now seem to be where it's at.
This was another vid, one of three back in 2007, the soundtrack was dubbed over by YouTube which was a real shame, from the vid there should be links to a couple of others
And as people have said, don't expect to get too much sailing in, for sure we sailed but was quite easy stuff.
Beauty of the boat is that you can get to the outer islands, that said, flying to Tromso and renting a car is another good option, as there's more than enough to do!!!!

I live in Hamble and can take you sailing then can put you in a cab to the artificial slope in Southampton. Used to own a 34 foot yacht but toooooo expensive. Skiing is pocket money in comparison!

It often puzzles me why the physically stronger member of a two-person crew is standing at the back using two fingers on the wheel whilst the "winch wench" grinds winches, catches and hauls up mooring buoys (or worse, pulls up anchors on small boats without a powered windlass). And quite often gets shouted at when the fault lies with said person at the back.
