Poster: A snowHead

Any useful suggestions for a 4 night stay in Jan (20-24)? 8 blokes in their 50s. Have put accommodation request in through tourist office but any hints as to what hotels are likely to take a booking now much appreciated.

We stayed at hotel madleine (sp?) once and it might work for a group of blokes.
Short underground walk to lift, poker room, table dancers, night club, decent spa, good rooms which none of the previous things disturb?

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

If you could be a bit more precise in what you are looking for it would help. Lots of B&Bs up to 5* hotels in the village. A few apartments available as well.
Getting lees than a week can prove difficult so best to book early although you should be OK on the dates you mention.

Very few places in Ischgl will accept bookings long in advance for less than 7 nights. One of the few that does is Hotel Trisanna (trisanna.at). I've stayed there for 4 nights in the past. Good hotel in an excellent location. Only downside was that they allowed smoking in the bar which was horrendous. Only do breakfast so you have to eat out but that's easy in Ischgl.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Actually in Ischgl check out http://www.kirchwirt-ischgl.at/home.html too - we ran in to a few fellow Brits who were staying there for a part week a couple of years ago.
Unless you're planning big nights for a part week you may be better off looking for somewhere down the valley and pre-booking taxis home for before 8pm - Ischgl's a popular week resort so many places in town will hold out for a full week booking.

Here's a cheap option to save your money for booze and strippers lol http://www.edelweiss-ischgl.at/index.htm
The website is horrid but the hotel is nice with a decent breakfast.
If you don't mind walking a bit uphill it's fine, with nice views over Iscghl.
The room price includes a convenient locker at Fimbabahn lift so no daily gear carrying required.
I stayed four nights in January so they do shorter stays too.

@Ghost Dog, if you're not concerned about being based in Ischgl I can highly recommend http://www.alpenfrieden-kappl.at in Kappl. Stayed there 6 years ago or so and heading there again in Jan. Only €55 a night db&b, right on the piste and food is excellent.... oh and Zipfer on tap. Kappl itself is quiet at night but only 5 mins in a taxi from Ischgl

Did a long weekend here a few years back at the start of Jan here, www.hotelarnika.at, no problem with the long weekend booking.

Thanks for all the replies, had an offer for B & B very central for £88 a night (Hotel Valulla). May go for that although would prefer slightly cheaper, that's dearer than half board at a good hotel in Mayrhofen.
I'll check out all the suggestions.
Cheers.

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

Valulla looks like our best plan. Just need to get a single room out of them for body number 9
