Poster: A snowHead
|
After lots of research and toing and froing I have chosen resort for January 2018. Maria Alm and Hotel eder
I am really really hoping that there will be snow at that time of the year, which date is best?
Does anyone think I can get passes, skis and boots cheaper in Resort? Rather than with TO
Any tips or advice on this Resort would be great help

@NewSki, how much us the TO charging? Easy ro compare the prices online...There won't be any discounts as such but sometimes there are deals for kids

Area Lift Pass - £169. I dont know what this covers yet, I had to add it from the extras page
Ski Hire
Standard - £101
Intermediate - £131
Ski Boot Standard - £45
I have just discovered that Snowtrex also sell this hotel but it says on the website 'This accommodation will be bookable soon!'

Lift pass will be Ski Amadé which will cost €248 in resort (6 days). Given that the pound is at its lowest rate in over 7 years the TO price sounds like a good deal.
Rental prices at Sport 2000 in Maria Alm range from €123.30-€188.10 for skis, boots and poles if you book online so this seems cheaper than the TO.

Unpredictable, but usually the later in the month the better.

Around that week, last 3 seasons snow depth...upper slopes between 100 and 150cms. Lower slopes 30-50cms. Disclaimer - note that snow history is not a predictor of future snow depths.
