Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Seems like Dalbello (already) and Full Tilt (18/19 season) will be offering "freetour" boots based on the raichle flexon design concepts and lasts. Dalbello Lupo TI (tech insert) is already out.
As someone who finds flexons the perfect fit I'm pretty excited. Either of these looks like a really good option for most of my skiing (lift served, side-country, short tours rather than 1000m skinning days).
Anyone had any experience of the Lupo's? Seem to get decent reviews.

Wide soles apparently:

Also check out Roxa (the guys that actually make Full Tilts - or certainly used to):

Or make your own:

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

@altis
,
apparently their are Lupo models in both 98mm and 100mm lasts
As you say the full tilts seem to be on the 100mm last
I've only skied the 98mm classic last so I'm thinking the Lupo might be the place to start.
Those Roxa's look to be more of a classic touring boot (95 flex) than a freetour boot (Lupo is in 110-130 flex)

... and I'm not sure they are flexon-based as they have an overlap cuff (more like Scarpa and Dynafit touring boots)
Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Earlier versions were more obviously Flexon-derived. No idea if they were told to change or that they think the newer versions are better.
I've moved on to Dynafit TLT5s now. Similarly narrow but with a bit more room around the toes. Nothing like the drive of the Flexons though.
