Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Part of Verbier's "4 Valleys" area isn't it? Not been myself. Looks like mainly blues & reds from the piste map.

hannah29, From memory, almost 20 years ago now, it is a fairly easy link to get to Super Nendaz, then up onto the Mont Fort glacier where if you are after black runs you should try the run from the very top Shocked especially if it is moguled Twisted Evil . From here you can get into Verbier itself.
Not sure if the trip from Thyon to Verbier & back is doable as a days skiing, maybe 1-2 runs in Verbier before heading back, but the glacier is certainly doable in a day as is SUper Nendaz & Haute Nendaz.
There is certainly enough skiing to keep you happy for a whole week, so no problems if you are there for a couple of days. Enjoy Very Happy

hannah29, Thyon 2000 is the closest thing you will find in Switzerland to a French purpose built resort, ie ski in ski out and not very pretty. The local skiing is OK however the local lifts are older/slower than in Verbier. Possible to ski to Verbier in around 2 hours. Apres ski in Thyon is nearly non existant,

Hi hannah29, skied one day there last week. We were staying in Verbier and popped over and back for the day. It's a fairly small area with mostly easy skiing but there are a few more challenging runs. The easier runs are mostly pretty wide and were very quiet when we were there - so you can really let the skis run if you like.

The snow was in very good condition so I'm sure you'll have fun if you decide to go.
