Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Wow top trolling Stanton you've managed to outdo yourself with the offensive title. You must be barely able to contain your mirth on this work, just don't laugh too loud or you'll wake your mum up, upstairs.

The thread title may be offensive - but the dangers of piste bashers do need highlighting from time to time. My regular ski buddy told me of a horrific incident involving a RAF skier - made me wary. Maybe this thread will warn others.

Not a very nice story, reminds me of the public service ads that I saw when in Austria that warned of the dangers of skiing at night when piste bashers may be winching. Extremely sobering, especially as it runs alongside the morning weather forecast.
Found this picture of Stanton in his 'nerve centre' trying to wind up snowheads with stupid thread titles

Why the blanket on lap, instruction manual on top of that and tissue in right hand? And what/who are the headphones and microphone connected with?

Few seasons ago we had a guy here in St Anton who had skied down from an Apres Mountain Bars.
He had fallen & passed out under one of the moguls..
A Pisten Bully came down and turned him into a Hamburger patty...
The driver of the Groomer never worked again ..traumatised

Is that really the best language and description to use of what is clearly a very tragic and distressing accident?

I think it's pretty reasonable, and certainly very descriptive.
Fair enough, if it was anyone's fault but the skier in question then the language might be considered harsh. But under the circs......

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

Actually, not so sure.
If he fell and passed out then maybe a bit OTT. If he passed out and fell then....

Descriptive, but incorrect. From what I can tell he was caught under the tracks and crushed, the thread title suggests otherwise.
