can anyone give me a suggestion of village/hotel to stay that will give me access to st anton system? I will have a car so it could be somewhere a bit cheaper out of the main area. its for me and my daughter sun/mon/tues.

Landeck as base? Option for either St. Anton or Ischgl. No idea on specific hotels though.

We've stayed in Pettneu before - easy bus ride into St. Anton if you don't want to use the car and much cheaper.

You can keep going further down the valley as far as Landeck pretty easily. Pettneu at least has a couple of restaurants etc, Schnann not really although you can get food at guest houses etc.

Pettneu or Schnann. Car park in St Anton €7 a day. Both towns very quiet/completely dead in the evenings, if this is a consideration.

No idea but there is free parking at the entrance into Zurs - from where you could go up to St Anton or ski Zurs/Lech

St Jakob may be somewhat cheaper than staying in inner-St Anton. Short bus ride on free schibus Line 2 to St Anton.
