Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Bootfitter in La Grave (or nearby)?

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Out in la grave at the moment and have some issues with my boots. Been in to a couple of places who have both done some slight tweaks but I think it's got to the point where I probably just need to get new footbeds and maybe a bit of shell work too. As always, finding somewhere decent seems to be a bit of a dark art so just wondering if anyone had any recommendations.

A post on here from a good few years ago suggested brechu sports in the serre chevalier but not sure if that's still really current info. If possible, somewhere with a good handle on English would definitely be beneficial so I can be reasonably happy we're thinking along the same lines. Thanks

Cédric at Jacques Sports Les Deux Alpes is excellent.

@el nombre, Elixir in Monetier-les-Bains have been really good. They've fitted both me and son with new boots recently, and sorted hubby with new footbeds. The boot fitter speaks excellent English.

Thanks for the replies guys. I ended up just getting some shell work done locally in la grave as i didn't want to drag the other guys out away from where they wanted to ski (i wasn't insured on the rental car). Still feels like new footbeds are required though. Ended up ditching the formed ones i got from E&W and just ran with stock flat beds which seemed to help things.

Can't recommend Bruno at ski extreme highly enough though. I don't really know quite how in depth his boot fitting experience is as it was only fairly basic tweaks but he was really helpful, lending me different footbeds and liners to try (free of charge) until we started to hone in on what was causing the problems.
