I have a pair of Salomon gore-tex trainers that do the job for me.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I take my North Face something or others on ski holidays. Light, grippy, waterproof enough for snow. They're comfy for standing around in too, so good for wearing during the travel to ski holidays.
(P.S. NEVER Ugg boots. As a paid-up New Zealander I can say with authority that they are only ever supposed to be slippers, for wearing around the house. Definately not for public viewing. The northern hemisphere obsession with them being a "fashion" item is downright embaressing. Here endeth the lesson.)

Salomon trainers are fine. You don't need big heavy boots usually. Mine are ancient & actually have a hole in the uppers & they're still OK for snowy weather.

Can I make requests??? Hmmmm - perhaps best not. And as for short skirts and skimpy tops.... nope - you're not going to wear them in the snow either are you. Damn

Shamefaced here....I've got a pair of zip up fleece line boots (you remember the ones your granny used to wear??) They are not stylish but they are warm, waterproof, have great grip and are easy to slip on and off when standing on one foot in a snowy car park getting your ski boots on and off without putting your ski sock down in the slush!!
