Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Heading out Saturday 11 - can't wait. We have a non skier in the party and wonder can anyone advise of some nice restaurants? Staying in 1950 but flexible about where we go. Thanks in advance.

Only one choice in my view , Belliou La Fumée.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

@timmythedog
,
Chalet de L'Arc
is very nice, with a big terrace and lovely inside. It is a piste-side restaurant but it is a relatively short walk from Arc 2000 that pedestrians can take, along a prepared path.
Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Evening @timmythedog. Currently winding down from my first day of the season. We are in Stuben for a long w/e. Bit of a white out this morning but cleared up in the afternoon. Try the rather grandly named Le Savoy in Arcs 2000. A short walk for your non skier across the ski school meet up point from that funny pedestrian bubble lift that comes up from 1950. Scrummy Steak Tartare but ask for it "allez retour" which is basically a flash fry on each side. Make sure you ski Aiguille Rouge to Vilaroger, one of the great alpine runs. Also if you are a mogul fan like me the "bosses" underneath the Varet bubble are a must.
