Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Huber Reisen - Ski Amade transfers

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Anyone used these for airport transfer from Salzburg to one of the Ski Amade resorts recently? Cost looks good at €50 pp return - they say the max wait you would have at the airport is 90 minutes, depending on who else is sharing the transfer with you, I just wondered how it had worked out in practice for anyone who had booked. We are arriving Salzburg airport at 10am Monday heading for Zauchensee.

Or am I better just sucking up the cost of a private taxi transfer - I have been quoted €240 return for two people...

@gamekeeper, I think Flangesax recommend them. I use Huber in flachau - the prices are all the same. I would use the shared transfer. I would be suurprised if many folk were arriving at that time on a monday morning.

Shortly to test them out, with an early Sunday pick-up. Slight snag is that they only accept payment by bank transfer and not by Visa. My bank is quoting a £20 charge for the 50Euro price! After some to-ing and fro-ing, they've agreed to accept my payment in cash on the day.
Edit: by the way, upon enquiry, they told me that it's a door-to-door service ie you won't have to lug your equipment from a central point in town.

Yep, we recommend Huber, our guests have travelled with them over the last 10 seasons, not had any issues and never a 90 min wait. The private quote is also accurate. Enjoy Zauchensee. Ange

We recommend them and have used them a lot.
They always accept cash payments if you ask them nicely!
We haven't known anyone wait longer than about half an hour.
@Hurtle, There are some fantastic money changing apps out there now. I recommend revolut.com - I get interbank exchange rates and free transfers and a pre-loaded visa card if I want to use it.

@holidayloverxx, oh, that's kind, I never thought to ask you. Anyway, it seems that Huber (Frau Huber herself intervened in the correspondence in the end) trust in my honesty. wink See you soon! I'm staying at Wolfi's.

Thanks for all the replies, have emailed them and asked if we would be able to pay cash...as the bank transfer would not happen between now and Monday anyway, I think.

One more question - does anyone know if it is possible to buy a half day lift pass for Zauchensee only on the day we arrive, as we are hoping to squeeze in an afternoon skiing on the day we arrive (before buying a full area 4 day lift pass to cover Tuesday to Friday)
