Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I'm off to Val Cenis with Snowcoach on 25th Feb for a week. Never been there before (Hell, I've hardly been anywhere before! Sad ) but it looks like Termignon is a bus-ride away. Do you know the area?

I've only skied for a few days in Val Cenis so am no expert on area Embarassed are you skiing as part of a group ? hoping to get over to Val Cenis also so maybe we can hook up and vice versa if you come over to Termignon ? Do you have any idea on conditions presently, heard that it's been a few weeks now since last snow fall ? rolling eyes

Hi, Rich

This is the only webcam I can find in Val Cenis - but I imagine you've already found it. The weather reports (snow-forecaset & MetCheck) suggest a little snow this week (tomorrow snowHead ) and the possibility of loads precipitation next week - although with freezing levels at 1500m or more, it may be rain at village level. Let's hope for plenty of snow - which they can bash into nice smooth pistes. Cool

I'm on my own Sad again but ski skool should keep me from getting too lonely till lunchtime. I'm travelling with SnowCoach to the Hotel Alpazur in Lanslebourg so I don't suppose it's far on the bus to Termignon for a change of scenery.

After I posted my last reply, I saw your posts on another thread discussing the possibility of a link between Val C and Termignon so I know you're a major landowner in the region wink . How do people usually arrange to meet up - beforehand or at the time?

Red Leon, Snowcoach will probably run a bus down to Termignon on one day during the week as an excursion. Other option is jump on the TransSavoie bus (bus stops outside chemist - next to hotel).

If you wanted to meet in V Cenis, would probably suggest top of the Gondola - from Lansilvillard, or bottom of the 6 man Ramasse (just over bridge from Alpazur)

Will send a pm but things are up in the air at moment as the facilities (swimming pool, saune etc) at place I'm supposed to be staying at are not finished Sad waiting on phone call tomorrow to find out what the score is. Said I wouldn't mind going to Val Cenis instead but they don't have their own accom there Evil or Very Mad
