Poster: A snowHead

Hi All,
I'm looking for some ideas for where to go for a ski touring trip mid to late March. I will be going with a partner who is pretty competent, but I still struggle a bit with skiing off piste, so we are looking for somewhere with lots of easy day touring options. We've had a few trips to the Queyras and Ecrins areas, which we like, but fancy something different. I've been recommended Khutai, any other suggestions gratefully recieved.

I'd strongly recommend the Silvretta region of Austria. If you start in Ischgl you could do a hut to hut trip, with some nights in Switzerland and others in Austrian huts.
The terrain is really mellow - both up and down - and you would have an "away from it all" experience with the opportunity of doing some easy summits.
And the huts are excellent - mostly with hot showers and excellent food and (importantly) drink.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

@cavegirl99, Val Maira is superb. I've done two trips there past two seasons and a couple of road trips and as they've had such good snow this season should be good spring touring conditions.
I'm on the mobile but will post later some links, trip reports.

@cavegirl99,
So I am biased but Les Contamines is brilliant for easy day tours (from the lifts). It also has rather serious and energetic hut to hut stuff on the Mont Blanc side of the valley.
I've posted a couple of trip reports on the easy stuff before.
