Poster: A snowHead
|
Landing at Marco Polo en route for Val di Fassa this Saturday at about 5pm, I'm expecting the shops to be closed when we arrive in the resort and will probably have to pick up food en route(self catering).
Does anyone know a convenient supermarket/store and what time they are likely to close , thanks in advance for any info.

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

In my (not very extensive) experience the Italians are not big on big supermarkets. There must be some, somewhere, but I've not found any! Not like France - one on every roundabout outside a major town.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

There looks to be a big Carrefour in Marcon which isn't too far from the airport. Not been to it but shopped at the one in Aosta. Another supermarket chain is Conad.

You just have to zoom in or out and it will pick up the right coordinates from the link. It seems to know opening times for most places. For example, for the Ipermercato Carrefour - Marcon nearby it suggests 8am to 9pm on Monday thru Saturday and 9am to 9pm on Sunday.

Most big supermarkets are open form 08:00 to 21:00 and there are plenty of them around. Smaller supermarkets/village stores normally open 08:00 to 12:30 then 15:30 to 19:30.
