Well whatever it is, I doubt it'll beat 'Joanna' and the lassoo song which we discovered in Austria last year. I'm sure they've both been around for years but they were a first for us!

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

Won't it be a cover of something by the Hermes House Band or similar group? They all sound the same to me. They could alway re-release one of their previous covers

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

sorry for dragging up an old thread but could not find (or too little time to find) the other thread re apres musak. A couple of weeks ago in Hinterglemm I heard a pumped up version of Give me Hope Joanna and pretty sure it was German lyrics. It was something very close to my heart - apres ska music
Any ideas of who sang it? Need to add it my ever expanding playlist

@boabski, It won't help you this time, but get yourself prepared with an app such as Soundhound, once started it will identify pretty much the exact version of any song in seconds.
Think this one's been around a couple of years now but only this year we worked out what it was - the story of a boy and his slightly unhealthy relationship with his Volvo Amazon...
It's a bit sad to stand in the Mooser and sing about wanting to return to Mallorca, surely!

Wow! (Translation courtesy of Google but it's better than nothing - with a billing like that I just *had* to find out")
ROGER AND OVER - Volvo B18 - lyrics
We saw each other for the first time at the beginning of seventy
You were four, I was seven - had much to Oh, to be learned
Took a little walk in you, it was the back of 'space
To see what you really ku '- we gave it full gas
She is my Volvo B18 - 210
Two side mirrors and with teak on 'rear
160 km - from the straight path
My Volvo B18 - uhhhhh I love you
We grew 'up, both you and me
Train trip to Saksild beach - you run 'the long way
And when we rolled 'back home, we did a look over
tank down the Oddervej - loaded 'in the 110
She is my Volvo B18 - 210 ...
I have gi'et you many gifts
You deserved each and every one
Makeup for your chassis - my little darling
We will go together hand in hand, from now to eternity
I say this, I've said it before ...
You are my Love
She is my Volvo B18 - 210 .
Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Was so annoying being able to recognise the tune as The Gambler by Kenny Rodgers but not work out what the song was, to work out what the lyrics meant, to find out just WFT the dance moves everyone else knew were all about!
Literally all day I've had that bouncing round in my head. I can confirm that this is almost on loop play in some of the bars in Mayrhofen. Now my brain can't escape it.
