A few wolves (not foxes) were seen around last season, near Fontcouverte-la-Toussuire and a handful of other places in Savoie.
They are steadily expanding their range again.
Wonder if Davidof has heard any local stories or rumors.

Our next door neighbour spotted a wolf in the woods above our house earlier this month. The prolonged freeze has been driving them closer to habitations in the Aravis.

I am sure chris (@skiingwithdemons) will testify that there are more cougars in Morzine..

Apparently the cougars have also been known to devour young skiers in Morzine.

Plenty of wolves around the 3Vs nowadays. They've come over from the Maurienne valley where they were reintroduced. Seen in Les Allues and BoZel as well as the Chaudanne at Meribel.
