Will get there mid afternoon on Saturday, have my own kit. Is there any free lift worthwhile warming up on for an hour or two, before lift pass starts on Sunday. Or do they do this "free couple of hours on the day before" with the lift pass there.

I've never tried any of the free lifts. I suspect they are not going to be very challenging, so not very worthwhile.
I see the 14:00 afternoon pass is about €34. Quite expensive really, but deffo more worthwhile than the free lifts.

@eblunt, I agree with @Steilhang - if you have your own kit, I doubt you'll be satisfied by the free lifts.

I think if you buy a 6 day or more lift pass you can start using it from 3pm the day before.

@DrLawn, you would need very sharp edges to side step the Steilhang! Most likely outcome would be a tangled mess in the safety netting + some very pissed off race officials!

Was in Kitz last week, and it was a very pleasant surprise to find that we could go out on Saturday afternoon with our passes that started on Sunday. Not sure what time you can do that from, but we must have hit the lifts about 3, maybe a bit before.
Definitely Hannenkahm this weekend though, they were getting it all ready while we were there.

@eblunt, Didn't help that we didn't know which direction the lift was from the hotel, everyone thought that someone else knew,and we went off in completely the wrong direction!
