Hhhmmmm.......I am partially deaf and despite using chairlifts for 2 weeks so far this season, still have have to say "what "(or "pardon" as my mother would insist) alot. Have you ever tried lipreading someone wearing a face mask and goggles? Not easy. They could be telling me their wife has fallen and broken her leg and I will be nodding and saying "oh, lovely!" in that polite chairlift conversation manner.
Perhaps it was a magic chairlift. Where was he skiing?

Does this mean you'll be able to get skiing holidays on the NHS 'for treatment of hearing loss'.

I struggle to hear at times (NHS of little help needless to say!)....Mr HH constantly complains at the volume on the telly and me going "Huh??" all the time. Interestingly for about two weeks after a ski holiday I can hear much better...I've often wondered why? (for comparison I have telly volume set at between 21 and 23 normally, currently it's at 14 having just got back from the mountains, it will gradually creep back up as the weeks go by!)
