Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

BASI Level 2 Preparation

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hey all
I recently finished my BASI level 1 and I am working towards my level 2. Simply put I was wondering what parts of the BASI text book, I would be needing to go over and know to pass level 2.
Thanks in advance

No idea, but well done for passing level 1.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Have you booked a course yet, @Gregory? I got given an L2 syllabus sent in advance when I booked. PM me your email address and I can probably send you a copy.

I'm working on the assumption that it will be time well-spent to at least have looked at all of the handbook.

I'd concentrate more on the skiing than the text book IMHO. The course description on the BASI website has the assessment criteria which is very detailed and covers what you need to understand from "the manual".

Make sure your longs, shorts and bumps are up to or close to L2 standard. Was there anything in your L1 written feedback that the trainer suggested you needed to work on?

Also don't forget the 35 hours additional shadowing post L1 and pre L2 and good luck!

regards,

Greg

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Most of the BASI manual is relevant but I would concentrate on getting as much teaching experience as possible and making sure your skiing is at the right standard in all the different aspects, shorts, longs etc.
