Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

My first hip replacement was 2012 due to arthritis. I skied for the following 3 years quite happily. And also have ridden my horse throughout. I have since had to have my other hip replaced which was operated on in April 2016. I started horse riding in July and have just come back from Morzine where we skied for 4 days. Lost some confidence and stuck to the green and blue slopes. Anyway all good.

Great story! fantastic! It shows that if you want to do something you can.
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

We had a guest that has been coming to us for the last 10 seasons as part of a large group. She missed out on one year due to a double hip replacement and has most certainly got back on her horse at 69 years old! (well that's what she tells us anyway!)

My father still skis and he has had a triple hip replacement.... Only for a couple of hours a day while on holiday but he still loves it in his late seventies'.
Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Unfortunately it makes his boots and skis 50% more expensive

I've met a few climbers who have had hip and knee replacements. Once guy soloed past us on a 600 foot icefall saying that he was testing his new double hip replacement, it was his first time out on ice with them.
