Poster: A snowHead

Has anyone had any emails about Black Friday equipment deals? Or did anyone get a cracking deal anywhere last year? I'm after a lot of stuff and am hoping I can save a few £!
www.ekosport.eu/ 20% off with code BLACK20
www.glisshop.co.uk/ 15% off with code WW15
www.snowandrock.com have a range of deals, no code that I can see
sportpursuit.com are currently doing 'daily teasers', I have stuff sitting in my basket, praying for a discount code tomorrow
Anyone know of any others? I'm predominately after a touring setup and some xmas presents.

The Ekosport shop just outside of Albertville has 20% off everything this week, even stuff that has been previously reduced.
We've been in today and saved a fortune and are due back again tomorrow to save even more?
I've had a quick look on their website and it looks like everything has 20% off on Black Friday.

At the ski and snowboard show I saw a ski lock called loqski, I had a chat with the guy and and I liked the lock but didn't get a chance to go back and buy. I've had a look today and they've got 25% off this weekend for black Friday so I've taken the plunge. https://www.loqski.com
I know there is the whole debate about locking and not locking but I'm someone who a) likes a gadget and b) is paranoid beyond belief and c) didn't like my previous cable lock. I'm not affiliated at all just sharing the info.
Also, I've found snow and rock have a good price on carbon leki poles https://www.snowandrock.com/p/leki-leki-carbon-d-J1614178.124.html
and https://www.absolute-snow.co.uk/ are also doing 15% for black friday so I've picked up gloves and body armour for my son. Nice.
My wife has been very generous for christmas this year

Those locks do look pretty neat, also ordered some as Chrissie pressies for the kids. And of course one for me!

You're not serious with those locks! Full retail £60, the design of lock looks lovely and ingenious but the leash to attach them is sooooo thin i'd be able to get my leatherman out and cut it! The lock would be a handy way to then carry skis and poles off in a nice bundle. I'm sure it would cut down on the pissed mistaken type thefts, but if you have really covetable planks they aren't going to put off a thief and a £8 aldi/lidl/decathalon lock would work just as well for the former.

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

agree re the lock usage, but I have a much beefier cable I can use and I think the way these claws attach to the ski is pretty neat. Makes me feel like I've made a bit of an effort at least. I rarely lock my bike up outside a cafe, and that's worth way way more than my skis.

Same here I have loads of different length and thickness seat post ties so have loads of options if that's no good. The biggest drawback I saw was that it looks like you can lock without the key, could be awkward. Compared to my dakine thick cable one and my demon tiny one this looks like a good compromise.

You know it makes sense.

The loqski looks cool but all it seems to be doing is holding the two arms of the brake together. I'm not convinced how secure that really is and can image the skis will break loose with a little bit of wrestling. Still, maybe these things are stronger than they look.

Loqski have arrived. You can't lock it without the key so that's good. Pretty substantial, and the cable is thicker than I thought, certainly thicker than the combination lock type things I have used before, about 4mm.
