Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

A snowHead
This is a pre-season "what if" question for all you ski gurus,
If I was to replace my 4 year old Head i titans with a pair of monster 88 what differences would I find on the slopes?
Obviously

i have the monsters 88's. fantastic ski!
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Monsters will feel more plank like. Not necessarily a bad think in crud etc but they aren't IMO a range of flick 'n giggle freeride skis.

I've had a couple of versions of both these skis. I think how you perceive the difference between them will depend very much on how you ski them. The 88s will bend more easily, the Titans are quicker from edge to edge and will feel more secure if you are skiing higher speed arcs, the 88s will offer a little more float in soft snow. I like both skis and will choose one over the other depending on what type of skiing I'l want to do: performance skiing on piste will see me on the Titans; more of a mixed day of on piste and off piste I'd choose the 88s.
Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Thanks to all, I couldn't wait and I ordered the monsters yesterday, they arrive later this week and I can't wait to take them to a fridge for a trial.
I'll keep both pairs and use them according to conditions.
Now, I just need to think of a suitable story to tell Mrs Gandie when a long parcel gets delivered
